Who this woven shirt program is a good fit for

This page is for people who carry responsibility for margin, quality and on-time delivery – not just one-off price shoppers. I work directly with brands, retailers and wholesalers who want a clean, realistic route into Bangladesh for private-label woven shirts.

You’re in the right place if you are

  • A fashion brand building or stabilising a woven shirt line (menswear, womenswear or unisex).

  • A retailer or e-commerce business wanting own-brand shirts next to labels you already buy.

  • A wholesaler or distributor serving EU, UK, US or Middle East markets.

  • A sourcing or merchandising lead who needs a trusted partner on the ground in Bangladesh.

Quantities I’m comfortable with

Bangladesh is strongest when quantities and expectations match production reality. I’m transparent about where we fit best and where we don’t.

  • Pilot capsules: from around 50–300 pcs per color per style when there is a genuine path to scale and realistic price expectations.

  • Healthy, repeatable programs: 800–2,000+ pcs per color per style for core woven shirt styles.

  • Multi-style / seasonal programs: planning together for carry-over and seasonal shirts where capacity and fabric commitments can be managed properly.

If you need tiny one-off orders at rock-bottom prices and are not interested in quality, compliance or long-term cooperation, I am not the right partner for you.

What we can produce for your private-label woven shirts

All programs are made-to-order, under your own label, through vetted factories. No mystery suppliers, no fake capacity stories. Below is a high-level view of the woven shirt capabilities I typically work with.

Product types

  • Men’s shirts: casual, oxford, smart-casual, resort, flannel, workwear.

  • Women’s shirts & blouses: classic shirts, relaxed blouses, tunic-style tops.

  • Unisex / overshirts: overshirts, shackets, resort and vacation shirts.

  • Fabrics & constructions

  • Poplin, twill, oxford, dobby, flannel, seersucker, broken twill.

  • Cotton, cotton-rich, linen and viscose blends, and other cellulosic blends where fabric sources make sense.

  • Solid dyed, yarn-dyed checks and stripes, and printed designs depending on MOQ and lead time.

  • Fits, washes & details

  • Regular, slim and relaxed fits for men’s and women’s shirts.

  • Soft wash, enzyme wash, peached and other garment washes suitable for woven shirts.

  • Functional details: pockets, yokes, plackets, collar styles, cuff variations, contrast fabrics, embroidery, patches and garment dye (case by case).

  • Branding & packaging

Main labels, size labels and care labels under your brand, and where MOQ allows, branded buttons or trims. Hangtags, barcodes, polybags, folding and packing can be set up according to your requirements.

Everything starts from your tech packs or clear design references. If your information is not perfect, I can still work with you – but only if we can reach a clear, production-ready specification before bulk.

MOQ bands, lead times and costing – what’s realistic

There is no universal MOQ or price for “Bangladesh shirts”. It depends on fabric, construction, wash, trims and, very importantly, your quantity per color per style. My job is to match your needs with the right factory profile and to say “no” when the expectations don’t match reality.

Band Typical use case What to expect
50–300 pcs / color / style Pilot capsules, serious test of Bangladesh Limited fabric options, higher FOB per unit, and a clear discussion on whether Bangladesh is actually right for this level.
300–800 pcs / color / style Growing brands and smaller retailers Better fabric and wash choices, more factory options and more competitive pricing while still respecting compliance and capacity.
800–2,000+ pcs / color / style Core woven shirt programs Best cost/efficiency zone for Bangladesh; easier to secure capacity, negotiate price and build stable repeat programs.

    Lead time guidance (approximate)

    • Development & sampling: typically 4–8 weeks, depending on fabric sourcing and number of fit rounds.

    • Bulk production: typically 60–120 days from fabric booking, depending on fabric, wash complexity, approvals and factory load.

    Honesty about deadlines and price

If your requested launch date or price is impossible for the product, quantity and season, I prefer to tell you that clearly at the beginning instead of promising a miracle and failing later.

How a private-label woven shirt program runs with me

Behind every order there is a structured process. I follow a clear flow from inquiry to shipment so you know what is happening, who is responsible and where the risks are.

    Step 1 – Brief & feasibility check

You share a short brief with:
    – Brand or company profile and market segment.
    – Product details, target buyers and price positioning.
    – Quantities per style and per color.
    – Target ex-factory or in-warehouse dates.

I review this and come back with an honest view on whether Bangladesh and my factory base are a realistic fit – and if yes, how.

    Step 2 – Factory & fabric matching

Based on your product and volume, I:
    – Shortlist woven shirt factories with the right technical capability, compliance and capacity.
    – Align fabric options from suitable mills or local sources.
    – Give you realistic estimates on FOB ranges and lead times before we start serious sampling.

Step 3 – Sampling, costing and approvals

    Once feasibility is clear, we:
    – Run proto, fit and size set samples with disciplined follow-up.
    – Work through comments until fit, construction and details are aligned.
    – Refine costing based on final specs, trims and confirmed quantities.
    – Only move into bulk when you are clear on both price and product.

Step 4 – Bulk production, QA and shipment

    During production:
    – A time-and-action (T&A) plan is agreed and monitored.
    – Inline checks and pre-final inspections are organised (in-house or third party as required).
    – I coordinate with your nominated inspection agencies and support documentation for shipment.

At every stage, if price, compliance or timeline expectations drift into dangerous territory, I will raise it and, if needed, recommend slowing down, changing the plan or saying “no”.

This structure protects both you and the factory. It keeps communication clear, reduces surprises and makes it easier to build repeatable woven shirt programs instead of one-off experiments.

Compliance and quality – where I draw the line

I care more about long-term relationships than one-off hits. That means being strict about which factories I work with and which programs I accept for woven shirts.

    • I prioritise factories with proper safety and ethical standards (RSC/Accord/Alliance, BSCI, WRAP, SEDEX or equivalent brand audits).

    • I do not support “no audit, no paperwork” shortcuts just to hit a low price.

    • I avoid programs that clearly push factories into loss-making or unhealthy situations.

    • If a factory repeatedly ignores quality or compliance expectations, I stop placing programs there, even if their price looks attractive.

If you are also thinking long-term – about your brand reputation, your customer and your own peace of mind – this approach should match how you want to work.

Why work with me on woven shirts from Bangladesh

My entire professional career is built around apparel sourcing and merchandising, with a strong focus on woven shirts, dresses and bottoms for international buyers. I’m not a “list of factories” or a random broker – I am the person responsible for connecting the right buyers and suppliers, and making sure the program actually works.

    • Based in Dhaka, leading merchandising and marketing for Ethnotex Private Limited while working with global buyers.

    • Factory-side and buyer-facing experience in woven shirts and denim, handling development and production for European brands and retailers.

    • Practical understanding of how MOQ, costing, capacity and compliance really interact in Bangladesh.

    • Direct communication: when something is not realistic, I will say that clearly and help you adjust the plan instead of hiding problems.

the next step is simple: share your woven shirt brief through the form at the bottom of this page.

Frequently asked questions about private-label woven shirts

Do you offer ready stock, or only made-to-order?

I work only with made-to-order programs. Your shirts are produced specifically for your brand under your label, based on your tech packs or agreed specifications. I don’t deal in leftover stock, cancelled orders or random “grey” inventory.

Yes – as long as you are willing to put in some work with me. At minimum I need:
    • A clear idea of your target customer and price level.
    • Reference garments or images.
    • Basic measurement and construction expectations.

If you are very early, we can start with a simple brief and move step by step toward a production-ready specification before bulk.

I’m most effective when quantities are in the hundreds or low thousands of pieces per color per style. For pilot capsules from around 50–300 pcs per color per style, I can still help – but only when:
    • The brand is serious.
    • There is a realistic path to scale if the pilot works.
    • Price expectations match the MOQ.

If Bangladesh is not a good fit for your quantity and target price, I’ll say that clearly.

The factories I work with ship mainly to Europe, the UK and the US, plus some other international markets. If your market has specific regulations or testing requirements, we can factor that in at the brief stage.

FOB is the default, but CFR/CIF and other terms may be possible depending on the program and logistics setup. We can coordinate with your nominated forwarder or, where appropriate, work with trusted freight partners.

Yes, where it makes sense for the product and budget. Access to GOTS, OEKO-TEX and other certified materials depends on your quantities, lead time and price level. We should discuss this clearly at the brief stage because it affects sourcing routes and costing.

That’s completely fine. Many buyers start with a feasibility discussion or a pilot-style roadmap. Use the form on this page to explain where you are in your planning. If I’m a good fit to help, I’ll suggest a structured next step. If not, I’ll tell you honestly and, where possible, point you toward a better route.
