Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting the Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association (BGBA) — a key institution that represents and empowers buying houses across the country. My visit wasn’t just a courtesy; it was an opportunity to reconnect with the very heart of Bangladesh’s apparel sourcing industry.

Why BGBA Matters
BGBA is the official voice of the buying house community in Bangladesh. It unites sourcing professionals, promotes ethical trade, ensures compliance, and works relentlessly to elevate the international reputation of our garment industry.
As someone who works directly with global fashion brands and facilitates end-to-end sourcing solutions, I’ve always admired how BGBA brings structure, unity, and visibility to the sector. It offers its members a platform to connect, influence policy, share knowledge, and advocate for fair practices.
What I Took Away from the Visit
During my time at the BGBA office, I had a quiet moment to review documents, plan my next moves, and reflect on the work ahead. The environment itself — filled with newspapers, trade publications, and industry updates — served as a strong reminder of the progress we’ve made and the path forward.
This visit reinforced my belief in collaborative growth. Organizations like BGBA are not only shaping our industry — they’re protecting it, promoting it, and preparing it for the future.
To Every BGBA Member:
You are part of something bigger than business. You are part of a national movement that showcases “Made in Bangladesh” with pride, trust, and global relevance. It was an honor to visit your space, and I look forward to contributing more in the future.
